Question:
Growing up in the 60s & 70s I naturally read the Air Ace, War and Battle Picture Library comics, and later the newly republished (poorer quality in my opinion) Commando series. Now, like many people, I collected some for the covers, but I always really admired the artwork of one particular illustrator who drew the strips inside. I have a number of examples of his work including Scratch Crew (BP627) Radar Raider! (WP1873), Rocket Bomb (WP1552), Dangerous Rebel (WP2073) and War in the Air (AA HS C) but know little more about him. They may not even be the same artist, but the style is so crisp and clean, the aircraft are almost of technical drawing qualty and the faces and figure drawings have an easily recognisable style. Does anyone know anything about this artist? His name? Other strips he drew? I'd like to see/own more examples by him. An original would be even better!

Question:
I have a copy of the original 10th anniversay Doctor Who Radio Times Special - The Three Doctors - which features episode guides up to 1974, instructions on how to build a Dalek, Terry Nation's story 'We are the Daleks', and one of the late great Frank Hampson last ever illustrations. I know it was re-created using digital DTP processes in the 1980s or 90s by a real Dr Who fan, and the 'reprint' is worth a fair bit. What might my original be worth? I'll admit the cover has seen better days but it is still there and the contents, pages 3-66 are great. Anyone have any ideas what my 30p investment in 1974 might be worth today?

Question:
Arthur
Am delighted to say that my 11 year old son has just discovered the joys of plastic scale modelling. Any tips on avoiding/dealing with the inevitable mess when over-enthusiastic fingers spread poly cement all over a model?
Thanks, Jules

Question:
Hello
I wonder if you know anything about this chap. I got a load of them as part of something else I bought. They're all footballers of the late 60s or early 70s including Alan Ball, Alan Mullery and this one, Gordon Banks. I thought at first they might be something to do with the 1970 World Cup but one is of Derek Dougan and I think he was Irish so it can't be that. They're plasric, about 45mm high.
Thanks
Jules
